This place looks very chik. They give good workshop talks. Pretend to know what they are doing. But the reality is different.
My experience of printing with this people was horrible. Here I will describe it and list the problems so that future clients know both the good and the bad sides of this company.
(A). Communication Problems:
As an English speaker, it was incredibly hard to communicate with these people. They could not write clear emails with precise numbers for spine width of the cover page, with precise instructions about what should be the page number displayed on a page if it opening on the right side of the book, about precise offer that they are working on.
(B). Location:
They do not have offices in major cities. One of their guy travels around giving talks and collecting clients. But when you ask them to make a quotation, you start seeing problems. They are either confused or overburdened and do not write correct quotations.
When you have questions, you can only write to them through email or call. Neither of which is helpful because of their poor communication skills. If their office was physically accessible within at most an hour's journey, you would have an option to go and discuss in person. But no.
(C). Discounts :
My experience is that they are very expensive and do not care much about the quality of your print. They just want to get multiple printings done with. They probably increase their base price a lot and give you a large discount (like 20% or so). This way the client feels that they are getting a discount but actually the total amount you pay is more than at other places because these people increase the base price.
(D). Passive printers:
They just print what you give them. They are not smart and do not suggest improvements. This is either because they don't know enough about good printing and doesn't notice minor details or because they are not interested in giving a good quality print to their clients. Only interested in clients's money.
(E). No provision to correct errors:
If your final prints come out wrong, there is no way to correct errors. Even if it was not your mistake, you have to pay an exorbitant price because of their mistakes.
(F). Final Comments:
Do Not Print with This Publisher. Especially if you are an English speaker and do not speak Dutch well, please avoid this publisher. They will do a shitty job and rip you off of a large amount.
