The idea is great but the product has poor documentation and lacks stability. If I buy a Synology NAS and I can download SW surveillance station from their site I expect I can download also extensions and camera licenses without having to search the WEB for a third dealer whatsoever

SW offer for their NAS products these SW applications enable advanced uses of their HW and play an important role in the selection of their HW.

The lack of a complete OFFICIAL documentation on how to implement features configure cameras and functions is really a major weakness and gives the impression of a do-it-yourself - level product not of a prosumer level which is what one is brought to think from the company and product website. Even worse much worse is the need to buy camera licenses just SW from third companies rather than from a normal e-commerce section of their web site.
